St. Peter Fugglestone

The Church of St. Peter dates from around 1291, if not earlier. It was originally under the care of the Abbess of Wilton and then later the Earls of Pembroke.

Unusually the church is still illuminated by Victorian gas lighting and the organ is powered by manual bellows which means someone has to pump for it to be played. Due to the gas lighting the church is not well lit especially in the winter services are only held in the summer months.
