MET: Idomeneo

Idomeneo is Mozart’s first opera and this production is brought to life by Jean-Pierre Ponnelle and conducted by Emeritus James Levine. Matthew Polenzani plays the king torn by  a rash vow, Alice Coote plays the son Idamante, Nadine Sierra as Ilia and Elza van den Heever as Elettra who loves Idamante to distraction.
